Johanna Heilman

Johanna Heilman is an artist and musician living in Austin, TX. She has been painting for over 25 years and has exhibited in galleries throughout Texas. Her work is incredibly colorful and full of rich textures and brush strokes. She tends to focus on the small moments in life like sunsets or quiet moments with loved ones. In December 2020 Johanna was diagnosed with breast cancer. This experience renewed her interest in painting the figure and she continues to use her art to explore the fragility and temporal nature of life.
